Living in Livermore

I am now all set in Livermore, California for the summer. I actually really love it here. Livermore is a really cute little town, and I love my job. It is close to San Fransisco (1,5 hour by bus and train) but still kind of farmland. Lot of wineries and some cows. It was actually the first wine area in California, even though Napa and Sonoma now is way more famous. Yesteday we went to the 93de yearly Livermore rodeo, which was totally an experience! Very American.

Bull riding.

Wild cow milking. My favourite at the rodeo, and sponsored by Nesquick.... If you are wondering what they do, let me explain. First they let in a wild running cow, then one person on a horse with a lasso, who catch the cow with it. Then one of the people by the fence comes running, grabs the cow by its head and neck and holds it, the person on the horse jumps of, runs over with a bottle, milk a little and runs back to the fence. The fastest team wins.

Amanda and Cindy.

1st street Livermore. The two blocks that basically contains all downtown. A couple of resturants, a cinema and a very few shops (for instance a western outfitter with cowboy clothes...).

Where I live!
